KANSAS CITY, Mo. – If it’s the mark of a good team that it can win without playing well, the Kansas City Chiefs indeed have something good going.
Perhaps on Sunday it was just a case of being fortunate they were playing the down-and-out San Diego Chargers. Either way, the Chiefs seemed as inspired as the weather on a dreary, soggy day at Arrowhead Stadium. They managed to win their seventh straight game but without having much of the game that earned them the previous six victories.
The Chiefs prevailed 10-3 despite a most sloppy game. They committed a pair of first-half turnovers, including Alex Smith’s first interception since Sept.
