Kansas City has a very simple goal on Sunday. Find a way to win, getting your record to 7-2 and moving into the coveted second seed of the AFC playoff picture.
Of course, doing that will be easier typed than done. The Chiefs are playing a very good Panthers team that while 3-5, have won two consecutive games and are desperate. Carolina is without left tackle Michael Oher and could be sans center Ryan Kalil, an All-Pro and the best of the linemen.
On the other side, Kansas City is without defensive end Jaye Howard, outside linebacker Justin Houston and wide receiver Jeremy Maclin.
