KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City Chiefs, who have tortured their fans over the years with dismal performances in the playoffs, heaped on another big helping of hurt on Saturday at Arrowhead Stadium.
Seemingly on their way to an easy wild-card round win over the Tennessee Titans, the Chiefs seemed to recall their grim postseason history. They wasted an 18-point halftime lead and lost 22-21, perhaps the most heartbreaking of their playoff defeats.
The Chiefs blew a 28-point third-quarter lead over the Indianapolis Colts in the playoffs four years ago, but at least that was on the road.
