Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy has no personal experience with running back Josh Caldwell, but he’s certainly trusting the word of his old friends with the Kansas City Chiefs. The Bears officially signed Caldwell on Monday to bolster the competition at running back.
Caldwell grew up in the Kansas City area and signed with the Chiefs shortly after going undrafted. He was already drawing interest as a local kid making good on his professional football dreams by playing for his favorite team.
He gained even more attention when he showed strong in the team’s first preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
