KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- It’s hard to argue that the Kansas City Chiefs should have been a Super Bowl team given their regular-season losses to the Giants, Jets, Raiders and Cowboys.
It’s equally difficult to claim the Chiefs didn’t underachieve this season, given that they beat both Super Bowl teams.
Such was the riddle of the Chiefs’ season, one that saw them with winning streaks of five and four games. It also featured in the middle a stretch of six losses in seven games and then in the playoffs a second-half collapse at Arrowhead Stadium against the Titans.
