The Kansas City Chiefs have an odd quandary at the quarterback position. Alex Smith, the incumbent starter, has won 41 games in his four seasons with the Chiefs. Not only has he guided them to their first playoff victory in decades, but he’s engineered the biggest comeback in franchise history, reeled off the longest winning streak in team history and has helped produce a winning culture in Kansas City. Yet somehow, Smith remains one of the most polarizing players in the NFL and many Chiefs fans would love to see Smith replaced as the starter in Andy Reid’s offense.
