Browns fire Hue Jackson, ex-Chiefs assistant Al Saunders takes over as interim coach

When the Chiefs meet the Browns on Sunday, Cleveland will have a new coach.

Hue Jackson was fired on Monday, a day after the Browns lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers and fell to 2-5-1.

Jackson’s record over three seasons with the Browns: 3-36-1.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter first reported the firing.

Former Chiefs assistant Al Saunders will take over as the interim coach. Saunders was the Chiefs’ assistant head coach and offensive coordinator from 2001-05.
