Kansas City Chiefs general manager Brett Veach has been a busy man, even outside the unenviable task of cutting the team’s roster to 53 players every front office completed this week.
Veach’s work went beyond the talent already in the building.
Ahead of the cutdown deadline, the Chiefs added former Arizona Cardinals pass rusher Cam Thomas and former Dallas Cowboys tight end Peyton Hendershot via minor trades. Another former Cowboy will be coming to Kansas City after the team was awarded cornerback Eric Scott on waivers. The Chiefs have also reportedly agreed to terms with running back Samaje Perine after he was released by the Denver Broncos.
