Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006 after a 20-year NFL career in which he appeared in two Super Bowls — winning one of them — Favre now stands third behind Dree Brees and Peyton Manning in career passing yards. But more to the point, he is the NFL’s all-time poster child for quarterback improvisation.
