Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones’ monster game against the Eagles on Sunday earned him AFC defensive player of the week.
Jones recorded four tackles, three sacks, two forced fumbles and an interception in the Chiefs’ 27-20 victory at Arrowhead Stadium.
It was the first time since 2007 that a player had three sacks, two forced fumbles, and an interception in the same game, and the four solo tackles matched a career best for Jones.
Jones, a second year pro from Mississippi State, is the Chiefs second weekly award winner. Quarterback Alex Smith was AFC offensive player of the week after his performance in the opening week victory over the Patriots.
