Ben Roethlisberger acknowledged that while he’s making progress in recovering from a sprained MCL and bone bruise, reports that he could make a return in a Week 7 showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs are inaccurate, or at least are not coming from him.
The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback is expected to miss four to six weeks because of the injury suffered during a Week 3 loss to the St. Louis Rams, putting a return in Week 7 on the optimistic side of the spectrum.
Regarding a report that surfaced over the weekend that he could make his return against the Chiefs, Roethlisberger denied providing any such information, nor did anyone in his camp.
