The Las Vegas Raiders have cycled through seven head coaches since Andy Reid was hired to coach the AFC West rival Kansas City Chiefs in 2013.
That’s part of the reason one NFL source referred to the Reid as “pink-slip Andy” when talking to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
“He fires [opposing] coaches,” the source told Fowler. “So it reached a point where something had to get done.”
The Chiefs signed Reid in April to a reported five-year, $100 million contract that is set to keep him in Kansas City through 2029 while making him the highest-paid coach in the NFL.
