As per Article 21 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, Phase Oneconsists of the first two weeks of the program with activities limited to strength and conditioning and physical rehabilitation only.
- The Chiefs have drafted three players in the fifth round who have gone on to earn Pro Bowl honors in their respective careers: Dante Hall (2000), Joe Horn (1996), Jim Arnold (1983) and Carlos Carson (1980).
