The Arrowhead Pride writing staff members each had one vote for our seven midseason awards. There are 10 contributors voting, so there will be 10 votes tallied for each award. In this post, we’ll reveal our top defensive rookie to this point of the season.

Pickings are slim this season when considering who’s the best rookie on the Chiefs defensive — but that shouldn’t come as a surprise for a championship-caliber defense that returned eight of its 11 starters from Super Bowl LVIII, and one of the players who departed was safety Mike Edwards, who was filling in for an injured Bryan Cook.
