In 2014, the Chiefs have void of talent at the wide receiver position; however, in the offseason the team signed Jeremy Maclin to help get the forward pass going in Kansas City.
Furthermore, coach Andy Reid is looking at RB/WR De’Anthony Thomas, who was drafted by the team in the fourth round (124th overall) in the 2014 NFL Draft, to make a second-year jump at the wideout position.
“Really, last year, he ended up being more of a receiver than running back,” Reid said, via the Kansas City Star.
“He is still taking the ball-handling, still doing stuff in the running back position, but the majority of his snaps were from that receiver position.
