Whenever a player of note is released from the Kansas City Chiefs, that roster move will typically come with some statements from both head coach Andy Reid and general manager Brett Veach.
Two players of note were released on Thursday, with the team parting ways with left tackle Eric Fisher and right tackle Mitch Schwartz. The Chiefs released statements from both Reid and Veach.
“I’d like to thank Eric and Mitch for all of their contributions over the years,” said Reid, whose first draft pick with the Chiefs was Fisher. “Every day both of these men came to work with the right attitude, ready to grind, both on the field and in the classroom.
