The New Orleans Saints were able to bring back a key piece of their offensive line on Friday with the report that they’d re-signed veteran offensive lineman Andrus Peat to a five-year agreement. Ian Rappoport confirmed the deal.
The news comes only several hours after the world champion Chiefs lost starting guard Stefen Wisniewski to his hometown Pittsburgh Steelers in free agency. The loss of Wisniewski is significant, as he started at left guard throughout the playoffs and the Super Bowl.
Chiefs Kingdom is getting desperate for some free agency news, but should be comforted in reports that the Chiefs were interested in Peat.
