Alex Smith suffers what appears to be a season-ending leg injury

Former Kansas City Chiefs and current Washington Redskins quarterback Alex Smith suffered what appeared to be a season-ending leg injury in Washington’s game with the Houston Texans on Sunday. Smith left the field via cart and was taken to a local hospital.

Normally, we would embed a Twitter video of the injury suffered in the article, but this one is awful. If you care to watch what happened, click here.

Former Redskins great Joe Theismann, who is actually in attendance at the game, tweeted the following:

Theismann’s brutal injury actually occurred on the same exact day 33 years ago.
