Alex Smith is not a fan of short time between Chargers games

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – As AFC West rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs and San Diego Chargers weren’t going to have any secrets heading into Sunday’s game between the teams at Arrowhead Stadium. They meet twice a year and have played a total of five times since Andy Reid and Mike McCoy arrived in 2013 to coach their respective teams.

Sunday’s game might have a particularly familiar look, in style and tactics if not result. The Chiefs and Chargers played one another three weeks ago in San Diego, with Kansas City winning 33-3. Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith isn’t a big fan of playing a game against a division rival and one that can potentially carry large implications with regard to the playoffs after such a quick turnaround.
