Alex Smith has Faced Adversity and Must Use his Experience as new Challenges Await

For a long time it looked as if Alex Smith’s career was in shambles. Smith was expected to change the 49ers bad string of luck as the first overall selection in the 2005 NFL draft. Unfortunately, Smith did not change San Francisco’s bad luck, but added to it.

In his rookie year, Smith threw one touchdown and 11 interceptions in nine games.
