ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The speed caught up to Tyrell Adams last season.
The Kansas City Chiefs inside linebacker went undrafted out of West Georgia last season and signed with Seattle after a rookie minicamp tryout. That didn’t last long, as he was released and eventually signed to the Chiefs practice squad. After the year, Kansas City retained him on a futures deal, giving him a shot to try and make the team’s 53-man roster in the fall.
But it was an adjustment throughout his rookie year.
“The biggest thing was the speed changed a lot,” Adams said during a break at the NFL’s Business Academy at the University of Michigan.
