Aaron Murray Out to Show Improvement During Kansas City Chiefs’ Preseason Slate

(Denny Medley – USA Today Sports)

If things go according to plan in 2015, the Kansas City Chiefs will never see backup quarterback Aaron Murray take any significant snaps during a regular season game. That doesn’t mean the team won’t want him looking sharp and ready to go just in case.

Murray enters his second season in the NFL as the third-string quarterback behind starter Alex Smith and primary backup Chase Daniel. As a fifth-round selection coming off ACL surgery, Murray has faced an uphill battle for NFL relevancy for the past two years now. Despite his slim odds of making an impact with the Chiefs this year, the former Georgia quarterback is out to prove he can still help the team in any way possible.
