As their training camp at Missouri Western State University continued on Friday morning, the Kansas City Chiefs conducted their third rookie/quarterback practice leading up to the first full practice on Sunday.
As we reported on Wednesday, a total of 37 rookies, quarterbacks and veterans returning from injury participated in the first of these sessions. Two other injured veterans were present, but working with trainers on the sidelines.
While that same group of players was on hand for Thursday’s session, there were some changes on Friday. Veteran quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Carson Wentz, linebacker Leo Chenal (coming back from a back injury) and cornerback Nazeeh Johnson (returning from an ACL injury) were given the day off.
