After winning their first AFC West title since 2010, the Chiefs head into the offseason with relatively little in the way of cap space (although if they release Jamaal Charles and Nick Foles, they would gain up to $13 million in additional cap room). On the bright side, Kansas City has only two 2016 regulars slated to be unrestricted free agents, and has relatively little in the way of glaring needs on their existing roster. One clear exception is the situation that would result from losing safety Eric Berry. While the Chiefs have dealt with many losses personnel-wise in the Andy Reid era (without losing much in the standings), losing Berry could be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.
