OAKLAND, Calif. – The Kansas City Chiefs were about to not only lose the turnover battle and, not coincidentally, see their five-game losing streak come to an end.
They were then, again, rescued by their defense Sunday against the Oakland Raiders. Linebacker Josh Mauga, cornerback Marcus Peters and safety Tyvon Branch each had an interception and long return in the fourth quarter to set up the Chiefs in great field position or, in the case of Branch, score a touchdown on a 38-yard return.
The Chiefs took advantage of the field position on the other two plays by scoring a touchdown each time.
