During the tenure of head coach Andy Reid, having a good left tackle has been important. In his first offseason, the team’s two biggest moves were trading for quarterback Alex Smith and selecting left tackle Eric Fisher with the NFL Draft’s No. 1 pick. Reid understood the position’s importance for a franchise undergoing a deep rebuild — and used his biggest asset to address it.
