The Kansas City Chiefs are 6-5 and in first place in the AFC West entering their Week 13 matchup against the New York Jets. The Chiefs have, however, lost five of their last six games and continue to struggle on offense scoring only 36 points in their last three games. This morning on NFL GameDay, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports it is "not off the table" Chiefs first-round QB Patrick Mahomes plays this season.

Rapoport also added that "the Chiefs' plan right now" is to have Mahomes "take a redshirt season." Head Coach Andy Reid has been supportive of Alex Smith during the team's struggles but if they continue to lose games don't be surprised to see them go with their first-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
