The Chiefs had 5 picks in the NFL Draft this year with one pick in each of the first 5 rounds. In Round 2, Kansas City selected Willie Gay Jr. out of Mississippi State to fill a need at LB. The Chiefs drafted TCU OL Lucas Niang in Round 3. Niang is best suited as an OT, but could play guard in year 1.
On Day 3 of the 2020 NFL Draft the Chiefs added a DB in L’Jarius Sneed in Round 4. Sneed played safety in college but offers versatility and can play CB as well. Michael Danna in Round 5 was the Chiefs’ final draft pick. Danna had 3 sacks in 2019 for Michigan.
