The Kansas City Chiefs received a bit of good news today, as WR Jeremy Maclin did not suffer a torn ACL. Maclin left the team's win over the Houston Texans yesterday on a cart.
Adam Schefter reports that Maclin's status for Saturday against the New England Patriots is unclear.
The Chiefs need Maclin active, as he is their best WR by far. He's caught 87 passes for 1,088 yards and eight TDs this season. No other WR has more than 35 catches this season.
If Maclin can't play, Chris Conley and Albert Wilson are the top two WRs for the Chiefs. They have combined for 52 catches, 650 yards and three scores. Expect Maclin to do everything he can to play this weekend.
