The Kansas City Chiefs have a big need at linebacker and plan to address that need with their first round pick at No. 27.
Rob Rang of CBS Sports thinks they'll fill that need with Vanderbilt linebacker Zach Cunningham in his latest mock draft:
Linebacker is a clear need in Kansas City with veteran Derrick Johnson again rehabilitating a torn Achilles. Cunningham, the SEC's leading tackler in 2016 and a two-time first team all-conference selection, possesses the speed and instincts to help fill that hole.
Cunningham, a two-time first team All-SEC performer and first team All-American in 2016, recorded 125 tackles with 16.5 tackles for loss, four fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles.
He is one of several linebackers the Chiefs are contemplating with their first round pick, along with Temple's Haason Reddick, Florida's Jarrad Davis. Chat Sports has Kansas City drafting Davis in our latest mock draft.
