Kansas City Chiefs Roster Projections are an in-depth look at a way too early Chiefs 53-man roster. The Chiefs have a lot of depth at several positions on their roster and a lot of competition for starting spots and for final roster spots. Andy Reid and the Chiefs’ coaching staff will have some tough decisions to make when they make final cuts before settling on a 53-man roster before the 2020 NFL Season kicks off.
Chiefs Rumors about the Chiefs final roster are heating up as training camp will be here before we know it. The Chiefs will conduct their training camp at home in Kansas City to gear up for the upcoming season. There’s some confusion with the new NFL CBA rules about whether or not NFL rosters are 53 players or 55. Teams can elevate two practice squad players each week to make it 55, but final rosters are still set at 53 players.

The Chiefs 2020 roster has some major battles at key positions including RB, WR, DE and CB. After drafting Clyde Edwards-Helaire, one of Darrel Williams, Darwin Thompson and DeAndre Washington will likely not make the Chiefs’ final roster. How many wide receivers will the Chiefs carry? Will the Chiefs go heavier on offense or defense on their final 53-man roster?
The Chiefs will have a 53-man roster in 2020 with the option to promote 2 players from the new 12-man practice squad for each game. Practice squad players can only be elevated for 2 games per season if they want to maintain their practice squad contract designation. Otherwise, teams will have to promote them to the 53-man roster and give them a true NFL contract.
