Kansas City has made some major additions to their secondary, signing David Amerson and acquiring Kendall Fuller as part of the Alex Smith trade.
Those additions caused the Chiefs to start taking offers for Peters, who has had his problems with Kansas City's coaching staff and front office since they drafted him in the first round in 2015.

However, Peters has emerged as one of the best cornerbacks in the league since joining the Chiefs. He had 46 tackles with five interceptions, four forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 14 games last season.
