The KC Chiefs are encouraged by what they saw out of star running back Jamaal Charles in practice this week - enough so that he is listed as probable for Monday's home game against the New England Patriots.
As NFL.com's Kevin Patra puts it, "the probable designation means we are all but assured of seeing the running back on the field Monday."
Charles was held out of last week's 34-15 victory over the Miami Dolphins after he suffered a high ankle sprain the week before against the Denver Broncos.
Knile Davis did quite the job replacing Charles against the Dolphins, rushing for 132 yards and a touchdown on 32 carries.
Charles, on the other hand, has just nine rushing attempts and five receptions in 2014 - a far cry from 2013 when he led the KC Chiefs in receiving and rushing yards.
