Jaguars offensive tackle Sam Young is an example of how a month can seem like a lifetime in the NFL.
Young was on the roster bubble in training camp because Josh Wells appeared to be ahead of him in the battle for the backup tackle spot. But a roster spot opened when Wells suffered a thumb injury in a preseason game and went on injured reserve.
Young not only made the roster, but was thrust into the lineup at left tackle when Luke Joeckel suffered an ankle injury in the season opener against Carolina.
During the third quarter, Young stood out, but for the wrong reasons.
