The Jaguars’ leading rusher last year has a message to those who want the team to use a high draft pick on a running back: Don’t forget about him.
“I think I should be a No. 1 guy,” Denard Robinson said. “That’s how I have to look at it. But I have to show them that. Words don’t mean anything. It’s all about showing them.”
What Robinson showed in 2014 was a productive flash that kept him in the starting lineup from Game 7 until he sustained a broken foot in mid-December. He ended with a team-high 582 rushing yards, up from 66 as a seldom-used rookie.
