After 19 seasons as the Jacksonville Jaguars mascot and best mascot in the NFL, Curtis Dvorak has decided to hang up the furry cleats and retire.
Jaxson made his first appearance on August 18, 1996 and made his last during the Jaguars home finale on Thursday night against the Tennessee Titans. He was one of the few watchable things the franchise had going for it during most of the past 15 years and it's sad we won't get to see him on the sidelines this fall.
But today is not a day to grieve. Rejoice! We've been blessed with many a memory because Curtis did his job better than anyone else in the league.
