On the second play of his first preseason game as Oakland’s offensive coordinator in 2013, Greg Olson put his personnel on the move.
In a simultaneous shift, Darren McFadden moved from tight end to tailback, Richard Gordon from tight end to off the ball, Marcel Reece from fullback to receiver and both Rod Streater and Denarius Moore from the running back to receiver. McFadden caught an eight-yard swing pass.
This is relevant to the Jaguars because Olson is now their coordinator and a subplot over the next four games is how much does the offense display, starting with Friday’s exhibition lid-lifter against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
