Rounding out our series of expectations for the 2018 NFL season, we’re going to look at what was clearly the best part of the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2017; their defensive unit. The Jaguars defense was the best in the NFL last season and is the main reason why the team made it to where they did. Sure, they had an off day or two, but by and large every game felt winnable because of the Jaguars defense.
Entering the 2018 season the Jaguars defense will return nine of 11 starters, with linebacker Paul Posluszny’s contract expiring and him retiring, as well as cornerback Aaron Colvin signing with the Houston Texans in free agency.
