Blake Bortles had about as good of a day as you can expect from a second-year quarterback on Sunday.
Still clawing his way back after being the worst quarterback in the NFL during his rookie campaign in 2014, Sunday’s four touchdown, 303 yard performance was easily Bortles’ best. It was a career day for the young quarterback and even with him firing on all cylinders for much of the day, the Jags couldn’t win.
In a 31-38 loss that saw the Jaclsonville Jaguars fall to 1-4 and saw Bortles’ starting record slip to 4-15, the young quarterback still had a stellar day.
