When New England quarterback Tom Brady and coach Bill Belichick walked off the field in Jacksonville after winning Super Bowl XXIX following the 2004 season, their future seemed to have no limit.
Brady had won three Super Bowls in the previous four seasons, going 9-0 in the playoffs. He was only 27 and had just finished his fifth season.
Belichick and Brady seemed likely to become the first coach and quarterback combo to win more than four Super Bowls.
In the 2005 playoffs, Brady beat the Jaguars 28-3 to boost his playoff record to 10-0.
