The Jaguars set their initial 53-man roster Saturday when they cut linebacker Jeremiah George, offensive tackle Austin Pasztor and safety Craig Loston and placed defensive tackle Ziggy Hood (foot) on injured reserve.
The team moved defensive tackle Sen’Derrick Marks from the physically unable to perform list to the active roster, but he is doubtful to play against Carolina.
Undrafted free agents Nick Marshall, Corey Grant and Thurston Armbrister made the team, veteran Bernard Pierce is one of five tailbacks, Sam Young outlasted Pasztor to be the swing offensive tackle and John Lotulelei’s special teams play earned him a reserve linebacker spot.
