What should come as a surprise to no one, Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence made his first public recognition for his presumed destination, the Jacksonville Jaguars. Lawrence offered his thanks to fans for the wedding gifts given to himself and his wife Marrisa.
“Thank you @Jaguars fans,” Lawrence began on Twitter. “We really appreciate the wedding gifts and donations for charities of our choice! In addition to the donations, Marissa and I will also be donating $20K to charities in Jacksonville. Thanks again, we hope to be a part of your community soon.”
What started as a supposed “joke,” and a welcoming to Jacksonville by Jaguars Twitter, fans raised money to purchase the Lawrence duo a $300 Revolution toaster.
