Former Jaguars left tackle Tony Boselli made a step forward Tuesday in his bid to be named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame when he made the list of 25 modern-era semifinalists for the first time.
The list includes three players eligible for the first time — quarterback Brett Favre, guard Alan Faneca and wide receiver Terrell Owens.
Boselli, the first player selected by the Jaguars as an expansion team in 1995, and linebacker Sam Mills were the only two players who had been eligible in the past who made the semifinal list for the first time.
