As COVID-19 continues to wreak havoc on the United States, the Republican National Convention that is scheduled to be next month in Jacksonville could be moved to an outdoor venue, according to the Washington Post.
Republican officials have narrowed their choices down to two venues that are close by the VyStar Arena, where the event was originally scheduled to be held. Those two venues are 121 Financial Ballpark, and TIAA Bank Field, the current home of the Jaguars. The field seats 65,000, and is a short walking distance from VyStar Arena.
Officials have said that they will follow whatever local health restrictions are in place from August 24-27, when the convention will take place.
