But three years later, safety Josh Evans and cornerbacks Dwayne Gratz and Demetrius McCray face uphill climbs to remain on the roster.
It’s a departure from the last two training camps in particular when they were competing for regular roles. Then, they knew their roster spot was safe; now, they need to flash in the preseason games, starting Thursday against the New York Jets.
McCray: “Really important [preseason].”
Gratz: “Absolutely [different].
