JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell announced that tight end Julius Thomas will seek a second opinion on his finger injury.
The free agent signing broke his finger during the Jaguars first preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier this month. He may have to undergo surgery to clean out the injury, which would cost him four weeks of action after the procedure, according to Caldwell.
The second opinion will be conducted on Tuesday, according to Caldwell.
Thomas was not a lock for the season opener as Caldwell claimed his availability was roughly "50-50" for the game against the Carolina Panthers.
