Jaguars defensive end Yannick Ngakoue is one of the key pieces in turning around the defense’s pass-rush woes.
Ngakoue (IN-gah-kway) was selected in the third round of the NFL Draft after recording a school-record 13½ sacks at Maryland last season as a true junior. The 21-year-old Ngakoue is expected to provide a pass-rush spark behind Dante Fowler at the weak-side (Leo) spot.
“We are counting on Yannick to come in and produce,” Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell said. “He is going to be on the field. He is going to be in some of our packages, so he has to get up to speed quickly.
