The original thought was the Jacksonville Jaguars would grab Florida offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor in the first round of the NFL Draft. The team was able to grab Taylor with the 35th pick, fourth overall in the second round.
The Jaguars traded up from the 38th pick with the Oakland Raiders to make the selection. Jacksonville addressed the need for a pass rusher with Josh Allen at the seventh pick. Taylor gives the team another body on the offensive line and a player who will challenge for the right tackle spot that was vacated when the team released Jermey Parnell before the start of free agency.
