Suspended Jaguars receiver Justin Blackmon isn’t headed to jail just yet.
Appearing before a judge in Ardmore, Okla., Wednesday, Blackmon’s sentencing was continued to Aug. 24 pending completion of court-ordered alcohol abuse classes.
The sentencing stemmed from Blackmon’s arrest last Dec. 21 on suspicion of driving under the influence. He pled guilty to misdemeanor DUI April 28.
Per the Oklahoman, Blackmon told the court he is living in Dallas and travels to Oklahoma twice a week for alcohol abuse classes.
The fifth overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, Blackmon hasn’t played in a game since being indefinitely suspended Nov.
