Suspended Jaguars receiver Justin Blackmon avoids jail time ... again

Suspended Jaguars receiver Justin Blackmon avoided jail time Wednesday when a judge accepted his guilty plea and gave him a one-year suspended sentence and probation, according to the Tulsa (Okla.) World.

Blackmon was appearing in the Carter County District Court in Ardmore, Okla.

Blackmon faced jail time stemming from his Dec. 21 arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence. He pled guilty to misdemeanor DUI April 28.

Blackmon was in court June 8, but sentencing was continued to Wednesday pending completion of court-ordered alcohol abuse classes.

During his early-June court date, Blackmon told the judge he was living in Dallas and travels to Oklahoma twice a week for alcohol abuse classes.
